Last Driftwood and Grace newsletter we gave the invitation to truly value where we are in the journey of life, right now, in Embracing Today - Age, Joy, and holding one’s space.
Check it out here if you missed it.
I want to take a moment to acknowledge that the moon has completed its orbit of the earth four times since I last shared a post on Driftwood and Grace.
Life happens to us all.
The tides have risen and fallen as they do, bringing with them debris from far and near, from deep places and shallow recesses.
We are here now.
An Invitation
Today I invite you to sit a moment and sense what is here with you. What feelings are sitting heavy and deep in your marrow and your pores today?
Take a moment to allow the awareness of what rests within you and what wrests within you.
With that I invite you to share in my poem, if you would care to.
There is anger.
There is anger here.
Is it mine?
Is it old?
Has it always been here?
There is grief.
There is grief here.
Is it mine?
Is it old?
Has it always been here?
There is understanding.
There is understanding here.
Is it mine?
Is it old?
Has it always been here?
There is business.
There is business here.
Is it mine?
Is it old?
Has it always been here?
There is tension.
There is tension here.
Is it mine?
Is it old?
Has it always been here?
There is forgiveness.
There is forgiveness here.
Is it mine?
Is it old?
Has it always been here?
There is healing?
There is healing here.
Is it mine?
Is it old?
Has it always been here?
There is love.
There is love here.
Is it mine?
Is it old?
Has it always been here?
There is love.
There is love here.
It is mine. It is yours. It is ours.
Whatever is here for you, allow it to be. If it has value for you, ask the questions Is it mine? Is it old? Has it always been here?
You will have your own answers.
If you would like to, explore where those questions take you. And always, be kind to you. Please.
Allow the questions. Allow the musing, the meandering of mind as it explores possibilities.
Allow the emotions that come.
Allow them to be.
Allow them to pass.
Choose that which you would like to hold and savour and cherish. Draw them closer. Enfold them within you. Taste their beauty and nourishing power.
Choose that which you would prefer to let go of.
Free yourself from their hold.
Let them go.
Feel the freedom and lightness which comes with letting go of what no longer, or perhaps has never nourished your being.
Lean into that which brings beauty and warmth, and light, and nourishment into your being.
Thank you for you. Thank you for sharing time. Thank you for your loving heart.
Welcome here.
Welcome to living your life.
Consciously.
Lovingly.
Gently.
Be kind to you.
Be kind.
Have a wonderful day.
Lovingly,
Melanie Williams de Amaya
